The Java Break started in 1994 and has become a popular hang out spot for University of Kansas students.
Preston Burton, Java Break employee: “We just have a lot of really weird options. I think we have a very homey feeling. I think that is why people like to come here so much. With our multiple rooms each kind of dedicated to a different scene or feeling, I guess. The graffiti room is kind of the more relax draw on the walls or any other surface room. Then we have our normal front room. The booth room is kind of a bit more relaxed and a lot more spacious. People can spread out their stuff. So that is where a lot of our studying people go.”
