McDonald’s is promoting American-themed burgers in Europe. As part of the “Around the World in 80 Bites” promotion, it is relying on interest in American culture and flavor to increase the amount of its customers, according to Burger Business. But, instead of selling real regional food specialities, McDonald’s is serving burgers with confusing American identities, The Huffington Post reported.
The New York Times reports the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets, will serve hyper-local food. 37 of Brooklyn’s restaurant owners and food vendors will take local and upscale stadium eating trends to the max, according to Eater. Food sold ranges from classic essentials — hot dogs, pretzels and cookies — to upscale wants — foie gras and hand-sliced ham.
